About RV Master Tech
RV Master Tech is owned and operated by Jason Fitzgerald, a Cape Cod–based mobile RV technician with 9+ years of hands-on experience keeping RVs safe, comfortable, and road-ready. I bring the service to you—whether you’re at home, at a campsite, or in storage—so you can avoid the stress of towing your RV to a shop and waiting weeks for an appointment.
I’m proud to hold RVTI Level 4 Master Certified Technician status as well as RVTAA Master Certified Technician credentials. That training reflects advanced capability across the systems RV owners depend on most—electrical, propane, plumbing, appliances, slide-outs, chassis components, and more—with a strong focus on accurate diagnostics and doing repairs the right way.
From small jobs like winterizations, de-winterizing, and appliance repairs to large projects like roof replacements, upgrades, and renovations, RV Master Tech delivers detailed workmanship, clear communication, and honest recommendations—so you know exactly what’s needed and why.
If you want dependable mobile RV service backed by proven certifications and real-world experience, RV Master Tech is ready to help wherever you are.
RVTI Level 4 “Master Certified” (often shown as Level 4 – Master Technician in RVTI materials) is RVTI’s highest credential level. It means the technician has completed the full RVTI path through Level 4, including all five Level 3 specialties, and has demonstrated broad proficiency across the major RV systems.
Candidates must-
-
Pass Level 1 and Level 2 written + skill-based (practical) exams
-
Complete training that covers all five Level 3 specialty areas (Electrical, Chassis, Electronics, Appliance, Slide-out).
-
Attend and pass a total of 24 hours of approved hands-on training in each of the 5 specialty areas within five years.

RVTI Level 1 certification (often called “Inspection”) is the entry-level RV Technical Institute credential that verifies a technician can prepare an RV for customer delivery by inspecting and confirming proper operation of all major systems—including propane, electrical, plumbing/water, appliances, body, generator, and chassis components. It’s earned by passing written and hands-on (practical) exams, and once achieved it’s generally considered good for life (with ongoing info/employment check-ins to stay active in the system).

RVTI Level 2 (Diagnostic and Repair) builds on Level 1 and certifies that a technician can perform basic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs across the major RV systems—propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis. To earn (and keep) Level 2 certification, technicians must already be Level 1 certified, pass Level 2 written and hands-on (practical) exams, and the credential is valid for 5 years with continuing education required to renew.

RVTI Level 3 – Electrical (Specialty) is an advanced certification that shows a technician can perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in RV electrical systems—covering areas like converters, inverters, transfer switches, batteries (including lithium), surge protection, and solar. It’s part of RVTI’s Level 3 specialty track for techs who’ve already completed Levels 1–2 and then complete approved specialty training for that category.

RVTI Level 3 – Slide-out (Specialty) certifies advanced skill in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing RV slide-out systems, including cable slide-outs, above-floor slide-outs, and through-frame slide-outs—such as screw-type, rack-and-pinion, hydraulic, and flush-mounted designs.

RVTI Level 3 – Electronics (Specialty) demonstrates advanced skill in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing RV electronics systems, with emphasis on areas like satellite systems and control area networks (CAN) used for RV controls and communication between components.

RVTI Level 3 – Appliance (Specialty) certifies advanced skill in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing RV appliance systems—typically including furnaces, air conditioning, refrigerators, and water heaters (covering traditional, instantaneous/tankless, and hydronic/combination styles).

RVTI Level 3 – Chassis (Specialty) demonstrates advanced skill and expertise in RV chassis-related components and functions—especially stabilization, leveling systems, electric steps, braking systems (hydraulic and electric), and understanding/working with vehicle weights.

RVTI Level 4 (Master Technician) is RV Technical Institute’s highest certification level. It means the technician has completed Levels 1 and 2 (written + hands-on exams) and has also completed all five Level 3 specialty areas through approved vendor training—showing they’re proficient at troubleshooting and repairing the seven major RV systems: propane, electrical, water, appliances, generators, chassis, and body. Level 4 certification is valid for 5 years and requires 24 hours of continuing education during that renewal period.
Why RVTAA and RVTI Master Certifications matter to you.
When you hire an RVTI and RVTAA Master Certified RV Technician, you’re choosing someone who has proven advanced training and real-world experience—not just basic knowledge. This certification is earned through years of hands-on work, along with professional-level testing and proven skill across critical RV systems like propane, electrical, chassis, slide rooms, appliances, plumbing, and life safety.
What that means for you:
-
Safer, more reliable repairs done the right way
-
Accurate troubleshooting that saves time and money
-
Professional workmanship you can trust
-
Honest recommendations based on what your RV truly needs
-
Confidence knowing your RV is serviced to a higher standard
In short, it’s one more way to ensure your RV is cared for by a technician who takes safety, quality, and reliability seriously.
